Day 1 – Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you’ll have a quick meet and greet, as well as a short safari briefing before being transferred to your wonderful accommodations. Ideally situated within short driving distance from the airport, Overnight in Nairobi
Day 2 – Amboseli National Park
This morning you’ll be picked up from your hotel to begin your safari adventure to Amboseli National Park For travellers who are on a quest for a bush holiday but with a strong sense of ecotourism and community upliftment, Campi Ya Kanzi is the place for you. Meaning “Camp of the Hidden Treasure” in the Kiswahili dialect, Campi Ya Kanzi, also spelt Kampi Ya Kanzi, is indeed a hidden gem that is tucked away within the foliage of the 644 km2 Masai Kuku ranch that connects Kenya’s Amboseli, Tsavo Plains and Chiyulu National parks. Day 3 – Amboseli National Park
The sunrise brings you an early morning game drive. This time of day is also the best time to witness Mt. Kilimanjaro in all its glory. Back at the lodge a full breakfast awaits you, don’t forget the bacon! The rest of the day is at your leisure. There are a plethora of activities you can enjoy, including a bird walk, exploring the grounds, or just a lazy afternoon by the pool- as afternoons in Amboseli are rather warm. Day 4 – Tanzania
Your journey following the Great Migration continues, as you cross the border into Tanzania. Meet your driver guide and head to Plantation Lodge, which is ideally located near the Ngorongoro Conservation area. You’ll find Plantation Lodge, is the epitome of rest and relaxation, with personal service ensuring that each guest received exactly what they get. Overnight in Tanzania
Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater
Today you have the opportunity to take a full day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater, complete with a picnic lunch under the shade of a gorgeous acacia tree. If you’re lucky, you will spot many of the animals on your ‘must see list.’ Back at the lodge dinner will be prepared and ready for your arrival. Overnight in Tanzania
Day 6 – Serengeti National Park
Today you have the chance to head out to the Serengeti, and spend the night in the famous Serengeti National Park and Angata Migration Camp. Location of the camp changes between Ndutu and Central Serengeti in order to get closer to the migration and give you the full experience! Angata Migration Camp consists of 12 tents, allowing you to enjoy an intimate atmosphere. Upon arrival, enjoy an al fresco lunch under the trees before heading out for your first Serengeti game drive. End the day around a blazing campfire and enjoy a delicious dinner. Day 7 – Serengeti National Park
Your day starts early so that you can take full advantage of the wildlife at its most active during the cool morning. After a bit of game viewing, enjoy a lavish breakfast and a nature walk with a Masai guide; keep your eyes open and discover some of the smaller wildlife residing here. The afternoon is warm and made for leisure, followed by your end of day game drive. Overnight in Serengeti National Park
Day 8 – Serengeti National Park
Today you’ll move from your mobile camp to more permanent accommodations conveniently located in the centre of it all, a place that offers comfortable accommodation allowing you to experience a real safari setting in the heart of the bush. Day 9 – Masai Mara
Today take a short flight back to Kenya, and arrive at Masai Mara, where your luxurious accommodations await at Karen Blixen Camp. Situated at the edge of the National Reserve in the exclusive Mara North Conservancy, this beautiful camp has 22 tents- each richly furnished, exuding comfort and style. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the Mara River, where you can watch as the resident pod of hippos keep you entertained. Follow up lunch with your first Masai Mara game drive. Day 10 – Masai Mara
Your second day in the Masai Mara brings you a cool morning filled with freshly brewed coffee and the best game spotting. Watch as the sunrises and enjoy tea, coffee and breakfast snacks on your game drive. Return to camp mid-morning, where breakfast will be served on the platform overlooking the river. Following breakfast, there are a number of activities you can enjoy. Enjoy a walk with your camp guide and discover hidden treasures that lie in and around camp. The afternoon heat brings you leisure and relaxation by the pool. As the evening cools off it’s time for another game drive. Overnight in Mara North Conservancy
Day 11 – Masai Mara
As the sunrises you’ll head out into the Masai Mara National Reserve for a full day outing; breakfast and lunch will be picnic style as you explore Masai Mara. The Reserve is one of the most famous in the world, you’re sure to spot loads of animals and learn about the ecosystem found in this wonderful area. After a long day, a long shower and scrumptious dinner wait for you back at camp. Overnight in Mara North Conservancy
Day 12 – Departure
After breakfast it’s time to begin your journey home. You’ll be transferred to the airstrip where you’ll catch a local flight back to Nairobi, and onward to your flight back to the states.
